The main responsibility of the Legislative Committee is to prepare the motions for the Annual General Meeting. Under Bylaw 11a, the Legislative Committee has the responsibility “to examine, correlate, amend, reject and report upon notices of motions submitted to it.” Under Bylaw 7l the Legislative Committee is also responsible for reviewing motions submitted to Provincial Council to ensure that they are of an emergent nature. The Legislative Committee does not assess the merits of the motions that are submitted to Provincial Council.
